Osman Arıoğlu began his professional career in 1980 by joining the Board of Accountants. In 1988, he went to the UK to conduct studies on municipal revenues. Upon his return, Arıoğlu served as Deputy Director of the Istanbul Revenue Office from 1989 to 1994 and as Deputy Director General of Revenues at the Ministry of Finance from 1994 to 1999. In 1999, he briefly held the position of Director General of Revenues and was reappointed to this role in 2002. With the establishment of the Revenue Administration in 2005, Arıoğlu became its first president and remained in this position until retirement at the end of 2007.
As one of the founders of AKT Certified Public Accountancy and Independent Auditing Inc. and C.C. Construction, Arıoğlu served as a Board Member of Public Banks Joint Management and as a Board Member of Ziraat Bank from 2003 to 2008. Between 2008 and 2016, he provided financial and consultancy services. In 2016, he joined Eksim Holding, where he currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board.
Born in Sinop in 1959, Arıoğlu graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University with a degree in Economics and Finance.
